New Office Word Integration
v5.25 introduces the first release of the Office Word task agent, enabling tighter integration between NEX and Word-based document workflows.
This release series also improves packaging and cross-platform consistency for the Office Word integration, making deployments more reliable across environments.
Improved Session Management
Managing sessions is now significantly more flexible. New session export and pruning commands make it easier to archive, clean up, and manage long-running workflows. We also improved session rendering and formatting for a cleaner and more readable experience when loading or reviewing sessions.
Better Help & Troubleshooting
We added a new /report-bug command to simplify issue reporting directly from within NEX.
The /help experience has also been expanded with agent-aware guidance and clearer command descriptions, making it easier to discover available capabilities and workflows.
Enterprise & Offline Licensing Improvements
This release includes several improvements for enterprise deployments and offline activation flows.
Offline licensing is now more flexible with improved on-demand node locking support, along with optional node-lock bypass capabilities for enterprise customers operating in more controlled environments.
Reliability Improvements
We improved subprocess environment handling and resolved packaging issues affecting the Office Word MCP, resulting in more consistent multi-platform behavior and deployment reliability.
As always, thanks to everyone testing edge cases, reporting issues, and helping improve the experience release after release.
